Troop 723 Membership

Note to families that are thinking of joining our troop. Please contact our Assistant Scout Master in charge of membership, Jim Smith and his wife Beth Smith. Let Jim know your interest and he will meet with you and your son at one of our meetings. The e-mail address for Mr. Smith is Jim4777@aol.com. He will answer any and all questions and show you around. We also recommend that you come to a regular troop meeting as well as a committee meeting before you decide to join. Please take a look at the calendars in this web site. One Tuesday a month, typically the third Tuesday is devoted to a patrol leaders conference (PLC) meeting with the scout master. It begins at 6:30PM. The PLC meeting is only attended by the scout leadership of the troop and is not open to visitors. At 7:30 is a committee meeting of adults and this meeting is open to visitors. If you join us for a committee meeting, you will be handed an agenda and probably a treasurer's report along with any other necessary documents. A sign up sheet will be passed around for you to sign. Please make sure you sign the sheet and we encourage a phone number be also added. The committee meeting typically lasts until 9PM.
