The drive up to Camp Chawanakee was uneventful. Upon arrival at the camp it is required that the troop representatives check in at the camp office. The troop SPL and scout master performed this duty. A camp scout was assigned to the troop to act as a guide and camp representative. In photo images this person can be seen in a dark green uniform.

Image above shows troop members in parking lot talking to Mr. Zachary V, Scoutcraft Assistant, who also acted as the liaison between the camp and the troop. The SPL and scout master were in the office signing in while the troop scouts were waiting nearby.

This image shows the troop in the parking lot waiting to move out to the camp site.

The image above shows the first camp site that was eventually abandoned in favor of a better location.

Maps of the camp showed that the troop would have to split into two separate groups. The troop leadership did not like this arrangement and asked to have the troop placed into one camp site or ajoining sites.
