In the above image, Scout Master Paul Hower, talkes to two troop scouts while the camp liason (dark uniform) sits on the rock waiting for the troop to line up for the hike to the swim testing area.
The first day of arrival there is a swim test for any scout that wants to qualify for any water related activity. The camp wants to know the ability of each and every scout as to their swimming ability. Here the scouts begin to line up to hike to the chow hall. Before taking the swim test the scouts have to be briefed as to how to help out during meal time. Scouts in the troop rotate duty in the dining hall.
The above image is inside the dining hall. The troop is being told how to perform the various duties required of each of them when they are assigned to help out during meals.
